A LITTLE ABOUT EMILY
From a young age, I was always drawn to the arts. My parents, very much artists in their own right, always encouraged me to pursue my artistic interests. This cultivated an almost insatiable love of the visual arts and music – which lead to an appreciation of countless forms of creative imagery and many hours of violin and piano practice.
Although modeling was not a specific goal or plan, I continued to hear that I was perfect for modeling and was hired for various campaigns throughout my teenage years. At that same time, I began to realize that photography was of particular interest to me and somewhat shrewdly realized that having experience in front of the camera would no doubt benefit me when I was ready to step behind it.
My modeling experience provides me with a unique understanding of posing and composition as well as lighting design and direction. I have carried this knowledge with me as I developed my photographic talents and now I bring both to every wedding and portrait session we do. I love making brides look and feel their most beautiful!
A Little More About Emily
Q – What is your favorite moment during a wedding?
A – Although every wedding is unique, with a multitude of special moments, I would have to say the parents dance is usually my favorite.
Q – What is your favorite lens to work with?
A – Hands down, it is the 100mm Macro lens. I am obsessed with the wedding details. The rings, the invitation and all the other little things that the couple spent so much time making just perfect.
Q – So then, what is your favorite wedding detail?
A – Well, I would say the rings but that is too obvious so I would have to say that because I grew up in Colorado I have a true affinity for nature and therefore I just love the flowers.
Q – What is the best advice that you can offer a soon to be married couple?
A – You have spent a great deal of time and effort planning your wedding. Once your day is upon you ensure that you relax and enjoy your special day. Keep in mind that few things ever go exactly as planned and no matter what happens your day will be perfect because you are marrying the person you love!
